About the artist

Request here Greg, an architect and life-long artist, began his metal work at Virginia Tech in an industrial design studio class. In 2013 he renewed his interest in reclaiming steel, this time as art. Within twelve years his work became part of over 100 private and 15 corporate collections throughout the country. Greg is an avid gardener, cyclist, traveler, and lives and works in Richmond.

A drive through the salvage yard presents endless possibilities. I sift through piles of laser-cut, stainless-steel scrap and ultimately layer the reclaimed steel with new steel panels and paint. The result is a celebration of symmetry, pattern, color, and an ethereal shadow that shifts as my art and angles of ever-changing light meet.
