About the artist
Greg, a life-long artist, began his metal work in college in a design studio class at the Virginia Tech College of Architecture and Urban Studies in Blacksburg, Virginia. His work is in many private and public collections including, Markel Corporation and Dominion Energy. Greg lives and works in Richmond, Virginia and is a practicing architect specializing in historic and residential projects.
A drive through the salvage yard presents endless possibilities. I sift through piles of laser-cut, stainless-steel scrap and ultimately layer the reclaimed steel with new steel panels and paint. The result is a celebration of symmetry, pattern, color, and an ethereal shadow that shifts as my art and angles of ever-changing light meet.
